Stairway to Heaven (right bank) | Hike to Ras Ash village | For All

Last chance to make it up this season!
Starting at the northern face of Jebel Jais near Wadi Galilah, we’ll ascend the right bank of Stairway to Heaven – a must-do for every outdoor enthusiast. This time, we’ve opened the trail for all, and we’ll guide you to the top according to your current level of experience and fitness.

Use this opportunity to discover more about yourself, test your endurance, and get tailored recommendations from the AFT team to help prepare for future adventures.

– Meet at / near the hike start point at the Event Time (as mentioned above).
– 10-minute buffer for check-in and late arrivals.
– Convoy / short drive to the hike start point exactly 15 minutes after the Event Time.
– Briefing, introductions, and gear check at the hike start point.
– Hike begins shortly after the briefing (within 10 minutes).
– Event finish time is approximate hike end time (finish time may vary slightly, depending on group pace and trail conditions)

This hike is located in the Emirate of Ras al Khaimah. Drive time from Dubai to the hike start point is 1hour & 40 minutes.

DURATION: +/- 9 hours
ELEVATION GAIN: up to 1100 m
HIGHEST ALTITUDE: up to 1350 m
TERRAIN: Off-road track, Developed hiking trail, plenty of loose rocks

Open for All! Yes, you read that right – for this time, Stairway to Heaven with AFT is open to everyone with basic hiking experience, proper hiking boots and a backpack. Take on the challenge at your own pace and enjoy the journey to the summit.

Feeling brave? Try to reach the top of the Stairway – all the way to the skies! And if you don’t make it to the summit this time, that’s already a big achievement you can build on for next time.

This hike is also suitable for physically active kids above 14 years.

All cars can make it to the hike start location. You do not require 4×4 cars to join this event.

Carpooling is organized among confirmed participants via a WhatsApp group. While we do our best to help you find a ride, carpooling availability cannot be guaranteed. If you are unable to find a carpool partner, the full cost of the hike will be refunded. WhatsApp group will be created 24-36 hours before event for confirmed participants where you might be able to find a ride partner.
