As mountain objectives become more demanding, physical fitness alone is not enough. A broader set of practical skills helps you move more confidently, adapt to changing terrain and manage the challenges that come with mountain travel. This session is dedicated to developing practical mountain skills through guided, hands-on experience. The focus will be on techniques and abilities relevant to the members’ current level, individual development priorities and future mountain objectives.

With Faisi’s guidance, members will have the opportunity to practise, refine and build on essential mountain skills, learning not only how to perform particular techniques, but also when and why they matter in real mountain environments.

The session is part of an ongoing development process rather than a one-off skills checklist. Different members may need to focus on different areas, and the aim is to make each session relevant to their progression towards more challenging terrain and high-altitude objectives. The skills developed here will contribute to a stronger foundation for future training, more demanding mountain routes and expedition preparation.

Build the skills. Understand the terrain. Prepare for what comes next.

This hike is exclusively for active Thin Air Club members.
The assessment is suitable for members with different levels of hiking experience and fitness. You do not need to be an elite hiker or an experienced mountaineer to take part.
What matters is your commitment to developing your mountain skills and working towards your high-altitude goals.

Detailed information will be shared exclusively with Thin Air Club members in the private WhatsApp group.
