Mountain progress is not just about getting fitter or climbing higher. It is also about how efficiently you move across the terrain. This session focuses on developing more effective movement on mountain trails, helping you understand how to manage your energy, maintain a sustainable pace and move with greater control across different types of terrain.
Under Faisi’s guidance, members will work on practical aspects of mountain movement, including foot placement, balance, body positioning, pacing, and efficient ascent and descent techniques. The focus is on recognising movement habits, understanding where energy is being lost, and learning how small adjustments can make a meaningful difference over longer and more demanding routes. The goal is not simply to move faster. It is to move more efficiently, conserve energy and build the foundations needed for sustained effort in the mountains.
Every member will have different strengths and areas to improve. This session provides an opportunity to identify those areas and apply the lessons to future hikes and expedition preparation.
Better movement. Smarter pacing. More energy for the mountains ahead.
This hike is exclusively for active Thin Air Club members.
The assessment is suitable for members with different levels of hiking experience and fitness. You do not need to be an elite hiker or an experienced mountaineer to take part.
What matters is your commitment to developing your mountain skills and working towards your high-altitude goals.
Detailed information will be shared exclusively with Thin Air Club members in the private WhatsApp group.
