🇦🇪 National Day Series |   7 Elements of Nature | STREAM: Wadi Al Dhaher

Celebrate UAE National Day with the 7 Elements of Nature Series, a special set of seven unique hikes, each inspired by the wonders of nature and representing the unity among the 7 Emirates – SUN | STONE | SAND | SKY | SEA | STARS | STREAM.

Each trail offers a unique adventure, breathtaking views, and an opportunity to experience the spirit of the UAE through its extraordinary natural landscapes during the National Day long weekend.

You might have heard or seen some influencers on instagram, YouTube, Facebook etc, even hiking guides referring to these pools as “Sulphur Pools” which unfortunately is false.

Join us to learn what really gives these pools the blue color and understand the natural phenomena behind the blue pools of hajar mountains. Being one the few wadis with natural running water, it is a must see for adventure lovers.

– Meet at / near the hike start point at the Event Time (as mentioned above).
– 10-minute buffer for check-in and late arrivals.
– Convoy / short drive to the hike start point exactly 15 minutes after the Event Time.
– Briefing, introductions, and gear check at the hike start point.
– Hike begins shortly after the briefing (within 10 minutes).
– Event finish time is approximate hike end time (finish time may vary slightly, depending on group pace and trail conditions)

INTERMEDIATE 5/10 level hike is suitable for anyone with average fitness. Although the hike will get you a good workout but this level does not include any technical terrain or exposed parts to climb. The attendees must be able to carry up to 6kg pack for the duration of the event.

Suitable for kids above 12 years too.

Little over an hour drive from Dubai. On the way to the village of Ghub in the Emirate of Fujairah.

TERRAIN: A mix of off-road track, donkey trail, boulders and uneven rocky slopes.

– A small backpack (25-35 L)
– Mid to high-cut hiking boots or joggers with good grip
– Water 2.5 liters and hydration drinks (sports water)
– Loosely fitted hiking trousers and shirt
– Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
– Energy bars and snacks
– Headlamp (with extra batteries)

Any car can reach the hike start point. 4×4 are NOT mandatory. 

Carpooling is organized among confirmed participants via a WhatsApp group. While we do our best to help you find a ride, carpooling availability cannot be guaranteed. If you are unable to find a carpool partner, the full cost of the hike will be refunded.

WhatsApp group will be created 24-36 hours before event for confirmed participants where you might be able to find a ride partner.
