🇦🇪 National Day Series |   7 Elements of Nature | SKY: Stairway to Heaven

Celebrate UAE National Day with the 7 Elements of Nature Series, a special set of seven unique hikes, each inspired by the wonders of nature and representing the unity among the 7 Emirates – SUN | STONE | SAND | SKY | SEA | STARS | STREAM.

Each trail offers a unique adventure, breathtaking views, and an opportunity to experience the spirit of the UAE through its extraordinary natural landscapes during the National Day long weekend.

From the northern face of Jebel Jais, near Wadi Galilah, we ascend the Right Bank of Stairway to Heaven – a must-do adventure for every outdoor enthusiast.

– Meet at / near the hike start point at the Event Time (as mentioned above).
– 10-minute buffer for check-in and late arrivals.
– Convoy / short drive to the hike start point exactly 15 minutes after the Event Time.
– Briefing, introductions, and gear check at the hike start point.
– Hike begins shortly after the briefing (within 10 minutes).
– Event finish time is approximate hike end time (finish time may vary slightly, depending on group pace and trail conditions)

This hike is located in the Emirate of Ras al Khaimah. Drive time from Dubai to the hike start point is 1hour & 40 minutes.

DURATION: +/- 7-8 hours
ELEVATION GAIN : +/- 1100 m
HIGHEST ALTITUDE : +/-1400 m
TERRAIN: Off-road track, Developed hiking trail, plenty of loose rocks

Open for All! 👣 Yes, you read that right – for the first time, Stairway to Heaven with AFT is open to everyone with proper hiking boots and a backpack. Take on the challenge at your own pace and enjoy the journey to the summit.

– A small backpack with cushioned shoulder and waist straps (No gym/school bags)
– Mid to high-cut hiking boots
– Energy bars and snacks
– Loosely fitted hiking trousers and shirt
– Water 4 liters and hydration drinks (sports water)
– Sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen)
– Headlamp (highly recommended)
– Hiking poles (highly recommended)

All cars can make it to the hike start location. You do not require 4×4 cars to join this event.

Carpooling is organized among confirmed participants via a WhatsApp group. While we do our best to help you find a ride, carpooling availability cannot be guaranteed. If you are unable to find a carpool partner, the full cost of the hike will be refunded.

WhatsApp group will be created 24-36 hours before event for confirmed participants where you might be able to find a ride partner.
