Our hike starts at the east coast, where mountains meet the sea. The winding trail takes us around a small but beautiful man made water reservoir. This dam collect the rain that gets washed down the valley and provides water for irrigation and homes many bird species. We continue our hike to the top where the views overlooking the Gulf Of Oman are breathtaking.
In this hike you’ll learn how weather systems that come all the way from India, affect our region and provide much needed water to our desert lands in peak summer.

BEGINNERS 3/10 level hike is suitable physically fit Beginner hikers. Beginners and first timers may also join this hike if they have would like to push their limits to learn the benefits of hiking as well as about UAE’s flora & fauna. You must be active in sports and do occasional hikes.

Suitable for kids above 10 years too. Attendees must be able to carry up to 5kg pack for the duration of the event.

The costal town of Kalba is located in the emirate of Sharjah, about 1.5 hour distance from Dubai.

ELEVATION GAIN : ±300m
TERRAIN: A mix of off-road track, developed single trail and some uneven rocky slopes. No technical climb.

All cars can make it to the hike start location. You do not require 4×4 cars to join this event.
Carpooling is organized between the paid participants. A WhatsApp group will be created for confirmed participants where you’ll be able to find a ride partner.
