Galilah to Ghaf Summit | Hike

Starting at the northern face of Jebel Jais, near Wadi Galilah, we ascend towards the highest peak of the UAE.

You may have driven along the famous winding road of Jebel Jais, but its northern face – with gigantic cliff walls offers a whole different perspective: a true challenge and a playground for hikers and mountaineers.

The trail is steep, rocky, and demanding, yet every step is rewarded with breathtaking views and a sense of achievement. If you want to test your limits, this hike will push you beyond the ordinary – and bring you closer to the wild, raw beauty of the mountains.

INTERMEDIATE PLUS 7/10 level hike is ONLY for most regular hikers of AFT that have been training with us over the past years, those with extensive local hiking experience, and those who have complete hiking kit, including hiking-specific boots, backpack with waist, shoulder, and chest straps. The attendees must be able to carry up to 8kg pack for the duration of the event.

NOT suitable for any first-time joiners.

This hike is located in the Emirate of Ras al Khaimah. Drive time from Dubai to the hike start point is 1 hour & 40 minutes.

All cars can make it to the hike start location. You do not require 4×4 cars to join this event.

Carpooling is organized among confirmed participants via a WhatsApp group. While we do our best to help you find a ride, carpooling availability cannot be guaranteed. If you are unable to find a carpool partner, the full cost of the hike will be refunded.

WhatsApp group will be created 24-36 hours before event for confirmed participants where you might be able to find a ride partner.
