Al Hayl Castle | Family hike

This will be a day hike, where we will enjoy hiking through one of the most gorgeous wadi, famous for local vegetable farming. There is always possibility to witness and walk through some water streams on this trail. This hike gives you opportunity to get some stunning photographs and explore the flora & fauna, and history right here in our Hajar mountains of UAE.

This hike is suitable for Introductory and Beginners level hikers and families with kids who love nature and want to experience the joy of hiking in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere. Perfect for first-timers or those who simply want a gentle day outdoors – the trail offers easy terrain, plenty of photo stops, and time to explore the surroundings at your own pace.

With less than 100 meters of elevation gain and a total distance of 4–6 km, the hike takes around 2 to 4 hours and is a great way to introduce both adults and children (ages 6 and above) to the wilderness and history of the UAE. All you need is comfortable shoes, curiosity, and a sense of adventure! 🌿. NOT suitable for kids under 6 years or anyone scared of walking on loose rocks.

In the Emirates of Fujairah, just over an hour drive distance from Dubai Al Hayl Castle is a beautiful trail with breathtaking views and possibility of flowing water. This historical monument walk takes you back to the times when life was much simpler and purer in every sense.

Any car can reach the hike start point. 4×4 are NOT mandatory. 

Carpooling is organized among confirmed participants via a WhatsApp group. While we do our best to help you find a ride, carpooling availability cannot be guaranteed. If you are unable to find a carpool partner, the full cost of the hike will be refunded.
